The Power of Community
Art Exhibition

Alabama State Council on the Arts will support a temorary art exhibition featuring Alabama Artists at the upcoming The Power of Community South & Appalachian Creative Placemaking Conference! The exhibition will be curated in collaboration with 21 Dreams Arts & Culture, Inc. and The King's Canvas and will be located at the MAP360 Gallery in downtown Montgomery. The Art Exhibition will connect BIPOC artists from the South and Appalachian region to explore, share experiences, and use their artistry to document, create, and preserve history and culture. This exhibition is a part of The Good People Tribe initiative, which amplifies the power of arts to build community and activism around social issues. A "Call to Artists" seeking visual artists residing in Alabama will be announced soon!
